06 Jan PROPERTY PRICES IN 2023  –  WHERE ARE THEY GOING?

The Halifax Building Society has recently reported that prices fell back by 2.3% in November, but less so, at 1.5% in December.

To put perspective on this, prices increased in 2021 by 11% (on average in the UK) and a further 6% in the first half of 2022.

An 8% drop would return values to the levels of April 2021, which would still be well above pre-pandemic levels.
